Former Yellow Wiggle’s new role

By | September 19, 2020

Former Yellow Wiggle Greg Page is attempting to break a world record for CPR in an effort to encourage others to learn the lifesaving skill that saved him earlier this year.

The original Yellow Wiggle is holding an online class at 7pm (AEST) on Satuday September 19 and is encouraging everyone to join to help Australians set a world record and learn CPR that could save lives.

The former Wiggle, who has been replaced by Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins, survived a cardiac arres t earlier this year while he was on stage for a Wiggles’ concert during a bushfire fundraiser concert.

Bystanders in the crowd and his band members were quick to respond when it happened, with someone from the audience stepping in to revive Greg by using CPR that saved his life.

He was lucky, since the survival rate for out-of-hospital cardiac arrest is only about 10 per cent, according to Next Door.

Greg’s own not-for-profit, Heart of The Nation, has partnered with Next Door and Surf Life Saving Australia to help save people’s lives through tonight’s virtual event.
