Marijuana And You

By | October 13, 2019

If you are considering trying marijuana either socially or for medical purposes there is a lot to learn. Don’t expect help from your physician because most physicians  do not have an in depth knowledge of the varieties of products that are available.

The first thing to be aware of is that dispensaries carry a huge variety of product including tinctures, oils, vape pens, dried marijuana, cookies, sodas and more. The second thing is that the product you buy today is super charged and much more potent than that smoked in the 1970s. In fact levels of delta-9=tetradrocannabinol  {THC}  are more than 4 times higher than they were in in the 1070s. However if you do your research carefully you can find products that are low in THC and high in cannabidiol {CBD}. So it is possible to use medical marijuana without getting high.

Another potential problem problem is edible marijuana. It may look like candy but may contain more than four times the amount of THC recommended for older adults. The effect of eating an edible may take hours to set in so it is easy become impatient and to eat too many.

Be careful!
