Model Tess Holliday says she loves being naked: ‘It’s not sexual’

By | February 7, 2019

Body-positive activist Tess Holliday was smizing, pouting and really working it for the cameras at plus-size e-tailer 11 Honoré‘s first-ever NYFW show on Wednesday.

“I have to turn it on, either that or I’ll nervous-vomit everywhere,” the tattooed plus-sized model — clad in a Mara Hoffman dress and Sally LaPointe coat from the site — told The Post from her front-row seat. “It’s all fake!”

What’s not fake is her enthusiasm for posing naked.

“It’s really liberating to do nude shoots because I can only imagine what it’s like for women or young folks when they’re scrolling through Instagram and they see a body that looks like mine, and they realize that I look like them,” said Holliday, 33, who launched the hashtag campaign #effyourbeautystandards.

“For me, it’s not sexual, it’s just me existing and being able to say, ‘F–k you, I belong.’ Things are changing and it’s nice for me to be able to say, this is my body, I love it. Look, If I could be naked right now, I 100 percent would.”

The inclusive e-commerce site, which is partnering with Shopify on a pop-up shop Feb. 7 to 14 at 157 Hudson St., sent out a parade of glam wares from designer labels like Adam Lippes, Altuzarra and Monique Lhuillier. LGBT advocate and “Orange is the New Black” actress Laverne Cox closed the show by twirling down the runway in a frothy tulle confection.
