Wide Leg Pants, Bombers, Skirts—Lorna Jane Extends Her Activewear Line To Off-Duty Pieces

By | September 26, 2018

Lorna Jane is synonymous with activewear that helps motivate and inspire women to get up, get moving and live their best life. Now, in an entire new direction for the brand, Lorna Jane has introduced an athleisure capsule that extends beyond their much-loved leggings, crops and tops.

“We decided to launch the Luxe Athletic range because we wanted to push activewear in a direction that is untraditional in concept,” Lorna tells Sporteluxe. “We looked at the current market and forward trends and recognised that athleisure traditionally has a ‘laidback, borrowed from the boys’ vibe. What we have done with Luxe Athletic is elevate that trend with a more sophisticated and feminine appeal that Lorna Jane is renowned for.”

Boasting a collection made up of matching sets, bomber jackets, wide leg pants, jumpsuits and pleated skirts, Lorna says the capsule is designed to take the traditional concept of activewear to the next level and allow for women to wear their pieces to more occasions including dinner and cocktails with the girls.

“I take inspiration from living an active life and from the fact that I personally want to wear MY activewear to more places. When I won the Marie Claire de Prix award last year, it really got me thinking about what women might want next in the activewear space. That’s when I decided to create a more sophisticated, fashion-forward and elegant range that would add a new dimension to her athleisure wardrobe.”

“We’ve been pushing the boundaries (and people’s perception) of what activewear and athleisure can be from the very beginning, and with the Luxe Athletic collection I wanted to further elevate the category with more luxurious fabrics, new technologies and thoughtful detailing that wouldn’t have a place on more traditional workout pieces.”
